Working out is not only for athletes or people who aim to gain large amounts of muscle. There are many myths surrounding exercise and working out that deter people from coming to the gym.  Working out does not need to result in large muscles or “bulking up.”  Many people also believe that working out has to be time consuming.  Both of these statements are false.  Building muscle increases your metabolism and burns fat even when you are not working out.  Only extreme workouts result in large muscles – most regular exercise programs will build a small amount of muscle that will benefit your body and mind.  Also, in terms of time spent exercising, once you gain a small amount of muscle, you will only require 20 to 40 minutes per day to maintain it.   Strolf is a health club where you can work out for a short amount of time per day to build lean muscle and reach all your health and fitness goals.

Exercise does not have to be exhausting.  Creating a program for yourself that will increase your heart rate for a short time each day and adding in some weights to shape your body and build lean muscle is all that is required for a decent level of fitness.  If you overdo a workout, you may be tempted to skip the next session; working steadily and at your own pace is the best recipe for success.  It is important to note that regular exercise helps your immune system, stress control and even insomnia.
